Most religious traditions have developed an array of music around their theological beliefs. I thought it might be fun to share some music that might be compatible with the various deistic theological beliefs out there.
Here are a couple to start it off.
The Seeker by, The Who
I've looked under chairs I've looked under tables I've tried to find the key To fifty million fables
chorus: They call me The Seeker I've been searching low and high I won't get to get what I'm after Till the day I die
I asked Bobby Dylan I asked The Beatles I asked Timothy Leary But he couldn't help me either
chorus
People tend to hate me 'Cause I never smile As I ransack their homes They want to shake my hand
Focusing on nowhere Investigating miles I'm a seeker I'm a really desperate man
I won't get to get what I'm after Till the day I die
I learned how to raise my voice in anger Yeah, but look at my face, ain't this a smile? I'm happy when life's good And when it's bad I cry I've got values but I don't know how or why
I'm looking for me You're looking for you We're looking in at each other And we don't know what to do
They call me The Seeker I've been searching low and high I won't get to get what I'm after Till the day I die
What a Wonderful World by, Louis Armstrong
I see trees of green, red roses too I see them bloom for me and you And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue and clouds of white The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky Are also on the faces of people going by I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do They're really saying I love you.
I hear babies crying, I watch them grow They'll learn much more than I'll never know And I think to myself what a wonderful world Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up: dont give up the fight!
Preacherman, dont tell me, Heaven is under the earth. I know you dont know What life is really worth. Its not all that glitters is gold; alf the story has never been told: So now you see the light, eh! Stand up for your rights. come on!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up: dont give up the fight! Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up: dont give up the fight!
Most people think, Great God will come from the skies, Take away everything And make everybody feel high. But if you know what life is worth, You will look for yours on earth: And now you see the light, You stand up for your rights. jah!
Get up, stand up! (jah, jah!) Stand up for your rights! (oh-hoo!) Get up, stand up! (get up, stand up!) Dont give up the fight! (life is your right!) Get up, stand up! (so we cant give up the fight!) Stand up for your rights! (lord, lord!) Get up, stand up! (keep on struggling on!) Dont give up the fight! (yeah!)
We sick an tired of-a your ism-skism game - Dyin n goin to heaven in-a jesus name, lord. We know when we understand: Almighty God is a living man. You can fool some people sometimes, But you cant fool all the people all the time. So now we see the light (what you gonna do? ), We gonna stand up for our rights! (yeah, yeah, yeah!)
So you better: Get up, stand up! (in the morning! git it up!) Stand up for your rights! (stand up for our rights!) Get up, stand up! Dont give up the fight! (dont give it up, dont give it up!) Get up, stand up! (get up, stand up!) Stand up for your rights! (get up, stand up!) Get up, stand up! ( ... ) Dont give up the fight! (get up, stand up!) Get up, stand up! ( ... ) Stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up! Dont give up the fight!

This one's both existencialist and deistic at the same time IMO.
Invisible Sun
I don't want to spend the rest of my life Looking at the barrel of an armalite I don't want to spend the rest of my days Keeping out of trouble like the soldiers say I don't want to spend my time in hell Looking at the walls of a prison cell I don't ever want to play the part Of a statistic on a government chart
There has to be an invisible sun It gives its heat to everyone There has to be an invisible sun That gives us hope when the whole days done
Its dark all day, and it glows all night Factory smoke and acetylene light I face the day with me head caved in Looking like something that the cat brought in
There has to be an invisible sun It gives its heat to everyone There has to be an invisible sun That gives us hope when the whole days done
And they're only going to change this place by Killing everybody in the human race And they would kill me for a cigarette But I don't even wanna die just yet
There has to be an invisible sun It gives its heat to everyone There has to be an invisible sun It gives us hope when the whole days done

CAUTION: The volume is really low on this video. You'll have to turn up your volume. Don't forget to turn it back down!

I guess I'm really big on warning labels this week.
