| They say there are no atheists in foxholes. I've always taken this to mean that in desperate life and death situations even the most hardened atheists (or agnostics and deists) will often pray for a miracle.
I'm wondering if you've ever been in one of those situations? You know one of those "just in case" God is listening and can do something about the situation I'm in moments. | |

Seeing as humans have been offering up prayers eons prior( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5nUUD8SM0Y) to the "One True God" became the bete noir of the rational mind, it seems pretty harmless when taken for exactly what it is; a coping mechanism. As Paul notes, the Universe comes most to the aid of those who ask only sparingly
