Travis brought this up on another forum and I thought it was a good question.

Does a logical inconsistency exist if you both believe that:

a. It is most advantageous and desirable to promote a society that champions and protects individual freedom and liberty

AND

b. You do not believe in free will?

No - because for a logical inconsistency to exist you must assume an incredibly, and incorrect, generalization of the term "free will"
